HANAC Medically Supervised Substance Abuse Program

The HANAC Medically Supervised Substance Abuse Program provides a comprehensive system of outpatient services, including assessment, individual and group outpatient counseling, for alcohol and chemical abusers and their significant others.

Clients may be self-referred or court referred. Those who are self-referred enroll in the program voluntarily and remain until they complete the program and are discharged or self-discharge prior to program completion. Mandated clients are those referred from Family Court because of allegations of child abuse or neglect, by traffic court because of DUI convictions, or by Probation/Parole referrals. These clients jeopardize their status if they discontinue treatment prior to completion of the program.

The program operates Monday through Thursday from 9 AM to 7 PM and Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM to accommodate the schedules of working clients and students.

Clients may be self-referred or court referred. The program accepts Medicaid, Medicare or private insurance to assist in covering treatment costs.
